WE'RE CREATING A SAFETY NET.
For comedians, being onstage alone is part of the job. Feeling alone offstage is unacceptable. Our mission is to help provide comedians in need with mental health, medical, and crisis support.
Here's your chance to help. Comedy Gives Back is a 501c3 fiscally sponsored project through Road to Artdom Foundation, Inc (#47-2064364)
Crisis intervention, short-term supportive counseling, case coordination and links to other community resources (housing, survival employment, mental health services, and substance abuse treatment.)
Reduction of social isolation and loneliness. Links to volunteer opportunities.
Call 818-861-3939 and start getting the help you need.
We provide grants to
surgery and hospital
stays when standups need it most.
Mental health issues and substance abuse are two of comedy biggest challenges. We're here to help comedians find and pay for treatment.
S#$t happens sometimes. When comedians are in
need due to unforeseen
circumstances, we're here to help.
IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE CHRISTAMS TO FEEL THE MAGIC.
Christmas Magic , written by Avery Pearson and Jordan Baum, is a celebration of the trainwreck known as Chrismas. All proceeds from the song go directly to Comedy Gives Back.
Co-founders Amber J Lawson, Jodi Lieberman and Zoe Friedman have been working in comedy for decades. Each founder has produced, booked and discovered comedians and having meaningful relationships in the comedy community.
HOW MANY OF THESE FACES DO YOU RECOGNIZE?
They are all working comics, but only a handful have become household names. No matter where they are on the journey, comedians live a hard life. Whether on the road, or in clubs, comedians perform without a safety net of unions, pension funds, and health insurance.
